Overview :

Ray-Coquard et al developed model for identifying adults with cancer who required blood transfusion following chemotherapy. The authors are members of the ELYPSE 1 Study Group from Lyon, Villejuif, Chambery, Neuilly and Toulouse, France.

Patient selection: age >= 18 years of age, solid tumor and receiving chemotherapy

Endpoint: Severe anemia requiring blood transfusion within 31 days of chemotherapy

Parameters at start of chemotherapy:

(1) ECOG performance scale

(2) hemoglobin

(3) absolute lymphocyte count
