Overview :
The normal erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) can be
estimated from the patient's age and gender.
normal ESR for men =
= ((age in years) / 2)
normal ESR for women =
= (((age in years) + 10) / 2)
where:
• ESR is expressed as mm in 1 hour
