Overview :
The
Cardiovascular-Respiratory Score (CVRS) is a subset of the Trauma Score. It
consists of all the elements of the Trauma Score except for the Glasgow Coma
Score. It can be used as a measure of the physiologic condition of the injured
patient.
Parameters:
(1) respiratory
rate
(2) respiratory
expansion
(3) systolic
blood pressure
(4) capillary
return

score =
= (points for
respiratory rate) + (points for respiratory expansion) + (points for systolic
blood pressure) + (points for capillary return)
Interpretation:
• minimum score:
0
• maximum score:
11
• The higher the
score, the better the prognosis.
• A score of 0
to 3 indicates a poor prognosis.
