Overview :
The fractional bactericidal concentration is an interaction
coefficient indicating whether the combined bactericidal effect of drugs is
synergistic, additive or antagonistic.

= A + B
where:
• A = (MBC of combination X + Y) / (MBC of drug X alone)
• B = (MBC of combination X + Y) / (MBC of drug Y alone)
