Mishra et al developed the Malaria Prognosis Score (MPS) for
predicting mortality in an adult with severe falciparum malaria. This can help
identify a patient who may benefit from more aggressive management. The authors
are from Ispat General Hospital (India), Sushilavati Government Women's College
(India) and the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
