Overview :

The World Health Organization (WHO) has published criteria for evaluating sperm morphology and identifying abnormal forms.

 

Parameters:

(1) head shape

(2) head size

(3) acrosome size

(4) head – others

(5) neck and midpiece

(6) tail

(4) large cytoplasmic droplets (the WHO manual says normal is < 50% of head diameter but says abnormal is > 33% in Figure 2.8, page 20)
